Coach Rasberry is excited to coach at the MCCL’s summer camp this year! One of my favorite chess camps around, this is one worth the travel even if you live outside of north Alabama. Taking place on June 10 - 14 at Journey Middle School, 217 Celtic Drive. A half-day camp; some sections in the morning and some in the afternoon. Half-day camp will be $150 per student. Registration is available first to MCCL members.

INTRO to COMPETITION CHESS CAMP - Half Day Camp - $150
Monday-Friday 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. – K-5 section & 6-12th grade section
(For the student who has been playing chess less than 1 year or has not played in USCF rated tournament, and wants to get ready to compete in tournaments in the fall) Instructors: Will Stevenson and Jonathan Rasberry
BEGINNING COMPETITION CHESS CAMP - Half-Day Camp -$150

(For K-5 students who are rated under 500; focused on tactics, endgames and tournament rules and notation) - this camp is for younger students who have competed in rated tournaments and have a USCF rating under 500.
